WSA Singapore Submission

Looking to submit your solution to the World Summit Awards?

Each country runs their national selection differently. In Singapore you are required to submit your entry for our National Experts to review before submission to the global database. The WSA Singapore submission process will take the following steps;

Please fill up your information as well as a description of your solution also with any relevant website links.

Once you submit, our National Experts will review your submission and arrange for a call to better understand your solution.

If you are shortlisted, our National Expert will guide you with submission to the global database, along with presentation and submission strategies to hopefully get you pass the Grand Jury selection process.

Global World Summit Awards

To enter the global contest, your solution must be nominated by your country’s National Expert – National Experts are members of the WSA network who have a good understanding of the local startup and impact ecosystems.

To submit your solution, make sure to select your country in the dropdown on the top right before creating an account! Rules, timelines and guidelines may vary by country, so it is important that you select your country before submitting your solution.

If your project is nominated by your country’s National Expert, you will be informed via email. 

Rules

Before you dive in, make sure to familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines for nominations.

All solutions must be submitted through the local National Expert

All solutions must be submitted through the appropriate category

Deadlines may vary locally depending on the National Expert (Singapore’s Deadline is 30 September 2024)

All submissions must be market ready – no drafts, prototypes, demonstrations or unfinished projects

All submissions must be digital solutions aligned with the UN SDGs

If the majority of your team is under 26, consider applying to the Young Innovators Award instead

Why participate?

The contest gives participants a chance to pitch their solution to a global network of national experts, building valuable connections in the process. The winners will get win the chance to join WSA in Hyderabad India for the 19th WSA Global Congress. This will give winners the chance to:

Connect with likeminded people including partners, investors, and fellow impact entrepreneurs

Join the knowledge society of thought leaders, innovators and stakeholders in a community that fosters collaboration over competition

Access unique opportunities through WSA’s global network

Learn globally and act locally – get to know specialists solving similar problems to you, and transfer their learnings to your local ecosystem

Eligibility

Any company, organisation or individual from all UN and UNESCO member states can be nominated.

WSA is strictly restricted to digital applications with a strong benefit for society and a high local impact.

Nominations for the WSA can contain mobile applications, SMS based products, webpages, databases, kiosk installations, wearables, devices, IoT etc. There is no limitation regarding the platforms or channels the projects work with.

The projects can be max. 3 years old at the date of nomination or need to prove major updates/upgrades/innovation within the past 2 years.

No ideas, drafts, demonstrations or concepts are accepted, all submitted projects must be market ready or already on the market..

WSA evaluates and highlights the content, user value and local impact of digital solutions.

General guidelines

Be concise and clear; avoid long sentences and technical jargon

Applications must be in English

Ensure the URL and email provided work

Provide sufficient information for international jurors, including screenshots or presentations if your project isn’t globally accessible

Draft your application in a word document before copying it to the database

Fill in all fields, even non-obligatory ones, to keep your application comprehensive

CONTENT | Quality and comprehensiveness, content richness, local language

FUNCTIONALITY | Ease of use, user experience, appropriate interactivity and functions

DESIGN | Navigation / Orientation and visual appeal, appropriate design for target group

TECHNOLOGY | State of the art in technology and quality of technical realisation, appropriate use of technology (local context/target group)

INNOVATION | Originality and newness to targeted users, society and market, local ecosystem, business model

IMPACT | Local Impact / Impact on community & society

VALUE | Addressing UN SDGs, narrowing digital divide, global relevance, potential
